Welcome to Industrial Training Institute, Rajpur Road, Dehradun
Govt. I.T.I Rajpur Road, Dehradun was established in the year 1952 at Rajpur Rd, D.dun. The affiliation number given by DGE&T is 6/35/2001-TC dated July 27, 2001. This ITI was shifted to Doiwala in Govt. ITI, Doiwala premises after formation of Uttarakhand state for the establishment of Uttarakhand Secretariat in its premises, and finally shifted to its own new building at Gujrada, Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun in January 2009. In the year 2007-08, this ITI was selected under PPP mode scheme under which M/s Kanchi Consturction Pvt. Ltd., Roorkee, Haridwar is selected as Industry partner for this ITI. GITI Rajpur Road at Gujrara was selected under 24 UKDWP Project ITI.
Our Objectives
Apart from following the guidelines of National and State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT & SCVT), GITI, Rajpur Road, Dehradun has the following aims and objectives for its training program:
- To impart training in the fields of communication, personal discipline, sincerity, hard work, honesty, computers etc. for overall development of the students in order to meet the challenging industrial needs of multi-skilled manpower.
- To equip students in effective and efficient ‘hands on’ competence, which will enable them to compete with confidence in opportunities for employment and thereby reduce un-employment among the educated youth.
- To help solve the problem of shortage of trained technical manpower required by the industries.
